So, I finished the Wheel of Time books, FINALLY.
YEAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -fireworks and other celebratory items go up-
Eat THAT Ian!
Btw, TOTALLY random, with Rand's hand and all. I mean, wtf? It's all like "I have a hand!" and then it's "I don't have a hand. Ho hum." I guess it was necessary and all, to show how Rand is all un-emoticon and what-not, but still. For those who haven't gotten there (prolly no one, but just in case), it is quite literally, if it was in first person, " Wait, there is a burnt nub where my hand is. It feels like I still have it on. Ah well, have to relearn the sword." And then it goes on, and you wonder if you just imagined the entire scene.
But whatever. GET TO READING.
"The laughter made the hair on the back of her neck try to stand."
Felix closed the book calmly, placing it next to her on the bed. A grin slowly came upon her face, which soon turned to light giggling, which eventually tumbled into mad maniacal laughter. Felix was, quite literally, rofling.
She had done it. She had finished the Wheel of Time books before that Ian. Even when he had a three book head start. They'd been in a competition to see who could finish first for about the past couple of months or so. It was Felix's first time reading the books, so she was more or less running blind. But it didn't matter. Come tomorrow, she'd have something to dangle in front of his face (figuratively, of course. Those books are heavy!) and have the power to do the "Nya, nya nya nya nya, I beat you" dance. That sent her into more rofling.
"Congratulations!" said a voice. Felix jerked up, opening her eyes to see the very picture of how she imagined Min, smiling and leaning against her wall. She blinked.
"Why are you…?" Felix began, but didn't get a chance to finish before Min, or at least, who she was assuming was Min, cut in.
"You have finished all the existing Wheel of Time books! That's right, all eleven of them! Doesn't that feel great?" She nodded in approval, still grinning. Felix felt pride of herself welling up again.
"Yep!" She nodded vigorously. The bedroom door opened as she nodded, entering who seemed to be Semirhage. Felix hoped it wasn't, because then this might not be very pleasant. She was the torture lady, after all.
"However, there is one slight problem," Semirhage said, smiling evilly, partially because she was the evil lady. "You now have to wait months to read the next book."
Felix stared at her, unblinking. It couldn't be. It couldn't. But it was. She had to wait until September to see what happened next.
"AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!" she screamed. She screamed for a very long time.
"I think our work here is done," Min said. Semirhage nodded.
"Yes, shouldn't we be on our way?" the torture lady replied. With that, they left the room just as Felix was almost done screaming.
This is more or less what happened, by the by. Well, not including random book charries coming out to eat me, but the order of events was: Read last page, rofling (well, more like robl, rolls on bed laughing, but you get the picture), slowing down, thinking about it again, which caused more robling, aw shit I have to wait about 7-8 months for the next book, minor depression.
It's probably for the best though. I was about to where I was a book a week, maybe less. Do you knowhow much life that eats? Alot. But I've started cursing like them in my head. Thank heavens I don't do it out loud, but I'll have a nice period of time to empty my head of such things before reading them again.
I might try to start saying "mother's milk in a cup" though. Such a cool curse. I'll write a fic about it, at least. A certain Sedai (I forgot your first part, sorry!) requested it AGES ago, and I has ideas.
