AN: Just a short little crack-ish story. The Beatles are just so inspiring...
I don't own FF7 of the Beatles, or the song Good Day Sunshine (which you should listen to)
Reno making a fool of himself in the office wasn't anything new. Elena, Rude, and Tseng were usually able to ignore him. Rufus, when he came down to the Turks floor, could walk right past the redhead without blinking an eye, no matter what Reno was doing.
But they had never been exposed to Reno singing before. Compared to this, everything he had done seemed tame. Even the time he thought it was a good idea to see if he could walk on the ceiling after covering the soles of his shoes in super-strength glue. (It had turned out that he could, indeed, stand on the ceiling, but there was no walking. The glue dried too quickly. It had also turned out that his feet could easily slide out of his shoes.)
Because Reno's voice was good. It was perhaps this that had everyone else so stunned. After all, it was only a matter of time before the ginger ran out of other things and decided that singing was a good idea.
"Good day sunshine. Good day, sunshine" Reno was bouncing all over the office as he sang. Miraculously, the rainy weather had cleared up only moments after he had began singing. "Good day sunshine."
"It's a coincidence that the sun came out, right sir?" Elena didn't sound too sure of herself. She looked to Tseng and Rude, who in turn looked to the President.
"Of course. It has to be," Rufus sounded uncertain. "It has to be." Silently, they all agreed to never mention the weather change to Reno. It seemed like he hadn't noticed that the sun had only recently showed itself.
"I need to laugh, and when the sun is out, I've got something I can laugh about. I feel good, in a special way. I'm in love and it's a sunny day." Reno continued, heedless of his coworkers' confusion and the fact that he laughed whether or not the weather was sunny. "We take a walk, the sun is shining down. Burns my feet as they touch the ground."
As one, everyone in the room looked at Reno's feet. They were not barefoot, so it was impossible to see if they were, indeed, burned.
"He never goes outside without shoes on."Elena said this distractedly, almost as if she wasn't aware she was saying it. Her eyes were following Reno's feet, which were now trying to scale one of the walls.
"Then we lie, beneath the shady tree. I love her and she's loving me." The redheads goofy smile grew even wider as he sang. "She feels good, she knows she's looking fine. I'm so proud to know that she is mine." He paused now, playing air guitar. "Good day sunshine, Good day sun-"
"Reno, I haven't answered your question yet!" The Turks and Rufus turned to see Yuffie Kisaragi standing in the doorway. None of them questioned how she had gotten into the office, too disturbed by Reno's singing to think rationally.
Upon being cut off, the singing Turk turned to look at the ninja. He stared at her for a second, processing her words. Upon realizing what she had said his face fell.
"But, I thought... I thought..." The talkative man seemed to have been rendered speechless. He closed his eyes for a second, drawing in a breath. "You... were going to say yes, right?" His smile came back, this time a shy, hopeful smile rather than the insane, ecstatic one he had been wearing earlier.
Yuffie laughed. "Of course." She walked up to Reno and gazed into his eyes. "Yes, Reno, I'll marry you." The ecstatic grin came back onto his face and Reno grabbed the Princess's hands, twirling her around.
"Good day, sunshine. Good day sunshine~"
