Perfect

By Steph

Bumblebee couldn't really define what humans meant when they said 'perfect''. In his lifetime, he thought he had seen many perfect, beautiful things, his home planet Cybertron. Many cybertroians would call it, a shining light, a place to call home. The allspark was Cybertron's guiding light, and that was what made that planet perfect to many that once called it home.

Yet, if Cybertron was so perfect, then why was it now devoid of life? Why has there been a war that has nearly destroyed an entire species? Bumblebee once thought his people were perfect, the planet prospered during its golden age, a bountiful empire. Yet he learnt that there was no such word, not after Megatron's betrayal, which lead to the greatest struggle of any sentient race. The irony of his once 'perfect' society is this war had now been brought to the soils of another planet.

Bumblebee snapped out of his musing, as he turned his attention to Sam's bedroom window, his charge was looking out onto the driveway in his direction, a smile clearly alit the teen's face. Bumblebee flickered his lights in response, as Sam moved away. Seconds later, the front door swung open, Sam bounded down the steps, making his way to Bumblebee's driving seat. Bumblebee wordlessly opened the door, allowing Sam to clamber into his cab, the door behind his charge shut of it's own accord.

"Hey Bee, you ready?"

Bumblebee started his engine, already backing out of the driveway, Sam grabbed the steering wheel with both hands, slightly surprised.

"Always so eger."

Sam laughed as Bumblebee gunned his engine picking up speed down the deserted road, the warm noise filled Bumblebee's spark with joy.

If there was one thing that did seemed right in the world, it was life at this moment, because for Bumblebee, it was perfect.

Short I know, just a small drabble I came up with after listening to Pink. I'm now back on the writing band-wagon, I have the entire summer off. Which means free time, so expect updates.
