A/N: So I literally wrote this whole thing in about ten minutes. I usually don't do poetry, so let me know what you think.
You were my idol
You could do no wrong.
I used to imagine I'd grow up to be like you
But now I see that
Suddenly you're not perfect anymore
Which would explain why I'm here crying on the floor, cause
You just took all my dreams and you ripped them up in front of my face.
Every loud word you say, feels like a smack to my face
And I flinch mentally from the pain
And the realization
That you're not perfect anymore
I used to defend you
When others spoke badly about your name.
I used to imagine
That one day when I was big, you and I'd be the same.
I thought maybe you could understand me
So forgive for being on my knees.
I thought we both knew better.
Now suddenly, you're not perfect anymore.
Which would explain why I'm ashamed of you.
You embarrass me just like I did you.
Whose fault is that?
You call me a traitor but you betrayed me first
When you never really even loved me.
And I see,
That you're not perfect anymore.
What would I give to see you and me together
Acting like a real family?
Let's see…
Oh, NOTHING, cause,
Suddenly you're not perfect anymore
Which would explain why I'm glad to be away from you.
I can't believe I was so blind, so naïve, that I couldn't see the lie you were.
But its all clear, it's all good now.
With the truth, I'm free.
And you're left all alone
In the dark, it's your fault
You failed when I realized
That you're not perfect anymore.
Oh, no, no, no.
You were my idol
You could do no wrong.
But now I see that's all you've ever done.
