One lucky man

"You know, you married on lucky man" Dean laughed as he danced with the bride.

"I know I did." Parvati giggled back.

"Gorgeous like you are, I would have done anything to marry you."

"Dean, honestly this is not behaviour for a wedding"

"I. Don't. Care"

They continued dancing to the slow music. Parvati was glowing in her white wedding dress creating such a drastic, but beautiful contrast with her dark skin. However, if you looked closely you can see some tired lines around her eyes. Her parents had insisted to also have the traditional Indian wedding a few days prior.

He turned her around in a fancy movement before dipping her down and pulling her back up. Parvati giggled in a teenage manner something she hadn't done in a long time.

"You know, if he doesn't treat you right, tell me, and he'll hear from me"

"Thank you, Dean, but I think I'll be just fine…"

"I can remember times at Hogwarts where my chivalry saved you on many occasions"

"Don't push it Dean, it was one time and Seamus was with you…"

He was so tall compared to her and he leaned down before kissing her cheek softly.

"Don't do that people might see" she laughed looking around her with fake cautiousness.

"Like I said, they could think whatever they want. I. Don't. Care."

"Sure you don't, but I don't think my husband would be very pleased Mister Thomas"

"I don't think he minds, he's one lucky man, like I said and he should be pleased that men are rounding up around you to dance, or kiss… you are beautiful"

His lips brushed hers in a teasing manner and Parvati couldn't help but smile.

"I think Seamus and Lavender went to shag in the broom shed over there, those two can't keep themselves from it." He laughed.

"No, there's worse, I walked in on Padma and Michael on the kitchen counter last weekend."

Her eyes locked with his and for the first time she couldn't believe her own luck. He was tall, dark and handsome and she hadn't been this happy in years and she hadn't seen him like that in years. For a few silent minutes, she reminisced the past few years since the war, the loss the devastation, but the happy tears of newfound love and the reunion with loves ones that were thought to be lost and gone. She remembered that one afternoon at the Leaky Cauldron when they met coincidently and started talking and that random date turned into several and well the rest could be guessed. She couldn't keep herself at that moments from going on the tip of her toes and kissing him soundly with the same passion they had the first time.

"This isn't behaviour to have at a wedding, Mrs. Thomas" he mimicked.

"I love you, Dean" she smiled.

"I love you too, Parvati."

"You really are on lucky bastard."

Dean really couldn't believe his luck; he married the woman of his dreams.
