Three Hearts- A Doctor Who (2005/9th Doctor) Fanfic

Please note: I am a new Whovian, which inspired me to write this little thing. The following takes place after the Dalek episode, but imagine that Adam Mitchell did not board the Tardis until later in the series.

Rose's eyes gently opened. She looked around the room that the Tardis had so generously given her. The Doctor had led her into her bedroom while she was barely awake. Her head had leant against his shoulder, causing him to smile a little. As she recalled what had happened yesterday, she threw the lavender sheets off of her and exited the room.
"Doctor… " she called.
She heard a tinkering and grunts of frustration in the control room. Rose smiled as she found him lying on the floor of the Tardis, repairing something with his signature Sonic screwdriver. He glanced up, upon seeing Rose.
"Hello" he said.
"You look like you might need some help." Rose said.
"If you would like"
There was a silence for a while.
"I heard what the Dalek said." Rose began.
"…About what?"
"Is it worth the woman you love? Is it true? You really love me?"
His body tensed up, glancing away from her, cheeks blushing red.
Rose put her hand in the middle of his chest, feeling his two hearts beating rapidly; much faster than what was normal for his race. His eyes darted meet up with hers.
"My two hearts beat as one for you." He responded.
He pulled her into a gentle kiss. The Tardis' lights flickered harmoniously, as if giving approval.
*Three years later*
Rose stood looking at the screen of the Tardis, gazing at the stars. The Doctor came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her belly.
"I'm going to be a Time-Lord daddy!" he said excitedly.
"That's right."
