Usually Zeke enjoyed the silence, the peacefulness of Casey's company. Casey rarely pressed him with unnecessary questions or snarky opinions. However, today he'd been waiting all day for Casey to say something, *anything*, and he found the continuous silence unnerving.

It wasn't every day you told your father you were gay and involved with the bad boy of your school; and the least you could do after that was tell your lover how it had gone.

"So what did your parents say?" Zeke prompted, finally, when they were curled up on the couch watching a movie.

Casey enjoyed the comfort Zeke's touch gave him. He could still hear his father's voice in his ears, yelling at his mother, "I told you we should have sent him to see a doctor after the incident at his school!"

"They're blaming the aliens," Casey answered, and snuggled determinedly closer to Zeke's warm body.
