Greg stood watching her move down the hallway, towards the exit. He couldn't believe that she had ignored him all week. He wondered if she was just busy and distracted-or if she was really just ignoring him because she was angry at him. He sighed, and headed to the side of the building where he could reach his jeep quicker.
He made it to the jeep without incident. It wasn't until he had actually tried to open the door that he was suddenly slammed against it, shutting the car door instantly. He hit his head, and the person who had shoved him grabbed his hair and yanked his head backwards. He could see the guy was wearing a ski mask, and couldn't help but feel a chill as he looked at him. Then, almost without noticing, he could feel the cold steel at his neck.
"Don't move, don't make a sound, and you won't get hurt." The voice was cold, calculating...and somehow very terrifying. Greg felt him reach into his pockets and pull out his wallet. "Gregory Sanders, huh? Do you work here?" Greg tried to nod, but couldn't. "I asked a question-"
"Hey!" Greg nearly went weak with relief. It was Sara. And she had her gun drawn. "Let him go!" She held it pointed at him, but unfortuantly it was also pointed at Greg. The guy must've noticed, because he laughed and said with a sneer,
"You think that scares me, honey?"
"Call her honey again, and I'll break your neck." Nick appeared at Sara's side, as did Warrick. The guy cursed, and immediatly released Greg, not after shoving him into the jeep again. Greg fell backwards, and slowly picked himself up. He heard the guy run off, and Warrick run after him. Nick stated, "I'm getting Grissom." And left as soon as he'd arrived. Greg slowly realized that he was left alone with Sara, who still held her gun by her side in her hand.
"Thanks." He said simply. Then he frowned as a sudden thought came to him. "Weren't you going home?"
"I was." She admitted. "But I left my phone on my desk, and I went back to pick it up. That was when I noticed that you were-well, being held against your will." She blushed.
"Nice choice of words." He commented. She looked pretty when she blushed. She looked at him, as though thinking about something.
"Did you...uh...know the guy?" Sara asked, curious.
"No." Greg answered, sighing. "But he got my wallet, and now he knows me." Sara bit her lip. She seemed a bit closer to him than usual. He stepped forward, wincing slightly.
"Greg it'll be okay." She said softly. Greg just stared at her, and she wondered if he had even heard her. Then, to her utter shock and amazement, he leaned forward and kissed her.
She felt happiness flow through her. Fireworks exploded within her, and she felt as though everything were perfect. Greg pulled away, and she flushed slightly.
"Well." Greg said. "That was better than I expected."
"I could say you did all that just to set this up." Sara said slowly. "But I'm going to say that I think you honestly meant that." Greg just looked at her warily. Before she could say anything else, Warrick appeared.
"Hey." He said. He looked frusterated, angry, and tired. "He got away. Gave me the slip behind a huge apartment building. You okay, Greg?" Before he could answer; Nick, Grissom, and Brass appeared.
"Greg, what's going on?" Grissom demanded. "Who was the guy who attacked you?"
Greg sighed, resigning himself to a long night on explaining the matter to them. But as he was starting to explain what had happened, he began hoping that Sara really liked that first kiss.
The End.
