I ran as fast as I could trying to escape his devious laughter. I found my way into an old alley and hid behind an dumpster as I tried to calm my breathing so that I would not give myself away.

"Come out, come out, where ever you are," his voice echoed mockingly.

I saw his shadow on the wall in the distance fade away. I let out a sigh of relief. I waited a few minutes before getting up. My body felt stiff from crouching into such a painful position. I walked slowly as to not make any noise. I was exhausted of running so much. My clothes filthy and worn out from both work and running. I neared the exit of the alley, not a soul was around. I felt faint and held onto the wall as I dragged my weakened body. I reached the opening and the last thing I saw was a pair of beautiful emerald green eyes before everything faded into darkness.
