AN: All demigods are completely normal other than having dyslexia and ADHD.
"Well Nico, honestly I just want you to find a nice guy and settle down," Hazel told her brother as they left the coffee shop, clutching steaming cups of hot chocolate.
"I know, but not everyone can find Prince Charming as easily as you found Frank," Nico mumbled.
"What about Will?" She asked.
Nico blushed a deep red, contrasting greatly with his chalky complexion, "he's probably not even gay," he whispered.
"You just don't see how he looks at you," Hazel said trying to convince the man who never seemed to understand it wasn't the 40's, and he could ask out any one with a pulse unless they were in a relationship, regardless of gender.
"No 'cause he doesn't," Nico told her, as he collided with man facing the large Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center.
"Hey Neeks," Will Solace looking down at Nico, a glint of humor in his sky blue eyes.
Nico had meet Doctor Will Solace in college. Nico had been studying computer programming and Will had been a pre-med student.
"Hey Neeks," Hazel said grabbing Will's arm, "can I borrow Will, just for a sec?"
"Well he's not mine," Nico snapped, almost but not quite hostile.
Hazel walked Will over to the ice skating rink.
"Look let's cut to the chase Will."
"Right," Will nodded slowly.
"I know you like Nico, a lot," Hazel said bluntly.
"So, it's not like anything's gonna happen between us" he glanced around hoping no one had heard him.
"Ask him out, please," Hazel gave him a little push in Nico's direction.
"Nico," Will's voice was stiff and nervous.
"Yeah," Nico looked up in to Will blue eyes, before returning his gaze to his feet.
"Will you go out with me," Will glanced at Hazel who gave him to thumbs up. Nico blushed a very deep shade of red, and gave a very jerky nod.
"Three years to the day," Will smiled at Kayla, "I'm gonna ask him to marry me."
"When?" Kayla glanced at her brother.
"At the party."
"Will, there's no soda in this entire apartment," Nico informed Will as he searched for his wallet.
"Point is?"
"Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Frank, Jason, Piper, Leo, and Calypso, are showing up in five minutes," he quickly kissed Will and left the apartment.
"Where's Nico," Percy asked Will.
"He went to get some soda," Will checked his watch, "an hour ago. I really should call him," Will pulled out his cellphone, opened the bedroom door, sat on the bed, and dialed Nico's number.
"Will?" the voice on the other end was familiar, and Will's heart plummeted.
"Lee," Lee was Will's half brother, a year older, and a doctor in the emergency room at the hospital Will worked at. "Lee Fletcher, why do you have Nico's phone."
"He's…gonna wake up, right?" Will's voice was urgent and broken, the last of his hopes hanging on the question. He'd never seen someone one with injuries as severe and Nico's recover. Lee touched his shoulder trying to offer comfort.
Will placed flowers on the snow covered grave. He'd brought a photo of Nico. In the photo Nico's hair was messy and he was smiling. Will placed the photo with the flowers. And walked away tears streaming down his face.
