"We have arrived to our destination"

Loki Loud suddenly awoke from the voice of the intercom.

"Please remain seated with your seatbelts fastened and..."

The young man looked out of the window next to him to see a familiar airport, the same one which he took off from two years ago. Loki looked down at his camouflaged jacket to see the same tag which he wore everyday only to notice a bit of drool on his clothes and chin. He then grabbed a few nearby napkins and began to wipe it off, ignored the rest of the flight attendant's message.

A few minutes later, Loki walked through the crowded airport with a big camouflage designed bag in hand, seeing fellow soldiers run up to their family and friends. The only difference between these soldiers and Loki is that no one meeting him or anyone picking him up. The reason why is because he never called ahead.

Coming home from being overseas for two whole years made Loki yearn for some silence. Something that he isn't used to due to living with ten other siblings. Yep, nine brother and one sister is who he grew up with.

Entering his old town, Loki noticed a few changes has happened while he was gone.

"Oh, they've finally built another Burpin' Burger around here."

"Huh, so Flip's store has been closed down? Finally!"

"WOW, the mall finally more parking spaces."

Loki wasn't expecting much to change in royal woods and he's glad of it. Here, he doesn't feel like his life could end at any moment and instead, bask in the warm sunlight that shines down on the returning soldier.

On the way home, Loki noticed a few people from high school. They didn't recognize him at first due to his shabby hairdo (Heh, you would think that getting a mandatory buzz cut was bad enough), but when they finally figured out that they were talking to Loki, they immediately welcomed him home and offered Loki a drink or two.

As much as the young adult would love to drink until he drops, what he would love most is to finally get home.

Finally, after half an hour of walking, Loki has made it back on Franklin Avenue, the street he lived his life on. Upon closer expectation, Loki noticed that Ms. Grouse's house now looks empty. Did she move out? Or has she...passed away? That's something he has seen a lot of.

Stopping on the sidewalk, Loki Loud faces his childhood home, the infamous loud house.

Everything looked to be in order, toys scattered everywhere, a mud puddle that looks to have been used recently, and that old bucket of bolts van parked on the drive way. Yep, Loki knew that he was home!

"Okay, let's do this." said Loki as he walked up the staircase and stopped in front of the door.

Knock, Knock.

"Coming!" a feminine voice shouted on the other side.

Loki grinned as he recognized who's voice it was. It belongs to his sister Linka. The last time Loki saw her, she was fourteen.

The door opened up to reveal a sixteen year old girl with long white hair.

"Hello?" Linka asked as she opened the door only to throw her hands over her mouth to muffle her scream.

"Hey, Linka. I'm home." Loki beamed

Linka threw her arms around her brother and held him tight.

Loki placed a hand on top of her head and gently stroked her hair as Linka released hot tears from her eyes.

"Honey, who is it?" Rita questioned as she came out of the dining room to see her first child standing at the doorway. Like her daughter, Rita covered her mouth at this surprise.

"Hi, Mom. Long time, no see." said Loki

This one-shot came from an idea I had after seeing most stories like this where it's Lincoln who comes home after war. If you guys want another chapter where Loki reunites with the rest of his family then just review.
