Officer's POV

I begin my work, checking the file over and over but something just is feel missing. "What, though." I thought

Suddenly, I feel a presence. "That's impossible, everyone went home.." I thought once more.

So I took catious and looked at the door for any sign of life

Suddenly a lean man, came in wearing a smug smile yelled out loud right in front of me

"Too bad Fernando, times up! Tick, tok, tick, BLAT!"

"Wha-...Damn it,it was you the whole time wasn't it?" I said in shock

He let out an ear schreeching laugh "Ha, I didn't expect you too be this slow.

"I don't suppose you would let me arrest your dead body." I said

"Ha! Now isn't this interesting,the tough officer asking for a nice wish. Well, we both know the answer for this one Fernando." He said cruefully

"You'll get arrested so give it up." I said while reaching for gun

"No, your wrong. I'll get away and this will be another lost case, as always. The system won't catch me, not even the tough officer. You see I made sure that every officer 'cept chu will be here in the office."

"Over my dead body, I'll let you kill me!" I yelled as I quickly took out my gun and aim as quickly as I can.

However, I was too slow

"Good-bye Fernando,It was so nice seeing your lovely face one last time. Like when we were naive teens." he whispered

I see the flash of my life before my eyes,darkness then consumes me

TRIS'S POV

I wake up to see that in am in Tobias's arms that have a soft grip on them. I look at him,he looks so handsome when he's sleeping. He's always there for me when I needed him,I smile at the thought. It's starting to get cold,we're near the beginning of winter,and it's starting to freeze "The Chasm".I turn my head slowly to the digital clock on the counter where the picture of me and Tobias is,the clock says 7:23 AM...7:23 AM...Uh-oh.

"TOBIAS!WAKE UP!"

He wakes up startled,with his hair messed up and his face blotchy .

"Ugh...what is it Tris?"He says with a annoyed tone to his voice.

"We have to get up for work!We can't be late on the first day of work!"I say frantically.

"Wait,what time is it?"He says with a confused tone.

"7:26 AM now, we have 14 minutes to get prepared."

"Okay ,you shower first I'll get the clothes

I quickly shower then so does Tobias and we quickly hurry passing the familiar halls,then finally reach the office door,as we enter our office i go to my computer to check the recent updates.I see an email from our boss Nathan and it says URGENT.I click open to see the email and see 'Tris I need you and Tobias to come to my office NOW!'I signal Tobias to come with me to see when Nathan has to say.
