Boys night. The mandatory, weekly event. Even more so after everything that's happened.
After marriage, cancer, explosions and loss, it was a comfort to know there was still Mikey and Brian. Still junk food and bad movies. Still them, still together.
And still having that was something, in fact, it was becoming everything to Brian. He'd come too close to loosing all this too often. It was time to hold on to what he loved. It was time to claim it, to take it.
"Is that the last piece?" he asks, watching Michael unwrap a little chocolate kiss.
The other man nodded, his complete concentration focused on the delicate foil wrapping. He liked to get it in one solid, unmarred piece, saving the paper tag. He'd done it since they were kids. A childhood triumph, like college kids with the labels on their beer bottles.
"I wanted that last…kiss," Brian casually commented once Michael had his fingers on the exposed chocolate.
Michael glanced between the piece of candy and his best friend with his deep, soulful eyes. He chewed the corner of his lip, as thought this was a decision of great consideration, before popping the chocolate into his own smiling mouth. A look of smug achievement on his face.
Brian quirked an eyebrow, "You're not into sharing huh?"
Michael slowly, purposely, sucked on the melting confection and shook his head.
That was it. He couldn't take it anymore.
He lunged across the couch at his best friend, trapping the smaller man under him. His lips warm and coaxing, in their own divine punishment. His tongue probed between Michael's lips, before sweeping inside his mouth.
It was only a moment before Michael fought back: his tongue plunging into Brian's mouth, his hands clawing at the other man's shirt. Despite himself, a longing moan rumbled from his throat.
And Brian sat back, a please look on his face.
Michael on the other hand, looked up with flushed confusion.
"I got what I wanted," he stuck out his tongue, the remains of the chocolate kiss melting on it.
Michael just muttered a half-hearted, "Prick." But just as the pouty curse left his lips, Brian was back on him in another sweeping kiss.
After more pawing and nibbling, both men smiled with satisfaction.
Brian licked his swollen lips, "Sweet."
Michael lulled his head over to look at him, "That's such a cliché."
"Complaining?" again, he quirked his eyebrow at the other man.
"No," Michael blushed, "But you know, you can always have the last kiss from me."
end.
