"If only I was stronger back then..."
I watched as Alex and the other Nobles slaughtered everyone I cared for. My friends fell one by one until only me and my fiance, Seris, remained. Alex smirked.
"Well, Raven, looks like your little 'rescuers' have failed you." He said, holding an injured Seris towards me. The Noble laughed as he raised his blade.
Seris's eyes went wide. "Raven! Get out of he-" Her sentence cut short as she fell to the ground, her back cut open. Alex walked up to me, as I looked up at him growling.
"Tch... So this is it..."
I quickly sat up in my bed. It was all a dream. Oh, how I wish that were true. It wasn't a dream, but a memory. And a painful one at that. I stared at my Nasod Arm and sighed. I was betrayed, traumatized, and nearly killed that night. The only reason I survived was because one of King Nasod's scouts found me. I was given this claw and was used as a tool. That is, until I battled the swordsman Elsword and his teammates, the mage Aisha and the elf Rena, who resembles Seris, while they were searching for an El Crystal. They saved me that day, gave me back my humanity. Since then, I swore to never again let any life unnecessarily end. I needed to repay the group, so I decided to help them defeat the King of Nasods. I've come a long way from there. After the king's defeat, our group found Eve. She was an upper class Nasod known as 'The Little Queen'. We returned the stolen El and helped in the war in Velder. We were currently in Hamel, helping the Seiker prince Chung defeat the demons there.
I walked down the stairs and into the inn's kitchen. Rena was in the kitchen making the food, Chung and Elsword were training outside, and Aisha cheered the tiny Fury Gaurdian on.
"Where's Eve?" I asked, walking over to Rena. She pointed out the door.
"She left awhile ago. I think she mentioned testing if Oberon and Ophelia could work well underwater."
"She must be in Resiam! Why didn't anyone follow her? It's too dangerous for her!" I yelled.
Rena smiled. "Don't worry, she's got her servants and drones with her. Plus, the monsters aren't too strong down there. She'll be fine." The elf said.
I turned towards the door. "Well, either way, I'm gonna go see if she's needs any help." I said, rushing towards Resiam. I ran right to where the sunken area was. "Please be okay Eve..." I mumbled, taking a deep breath and diving in.
