Summary: Archie Hopper/Jiminy has a moment with a cricket that got into his house. Takes place after the curse is broken. One shot for now.
Archie Hopper was lying in bed after a long day at the office. He had been booked for months since the breaking of the curse. It was almost overwhelming. Thank goodness that when he got home, it was peaceful and relaxing especially with his dog Pongo. Pongo was asleep next to him in his bed and was snoring softly. Archie closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep.
"Chirp."
Archie didn't budge.
"Chirp, chirp, chirp."
Archie opened one eye and looked around and then closed it. "Chirp, chirp, chirp."
He sighed irritatedly and covered his ears with a pillow. "Chirp, chirp, chirp."
"For the love of God," exclaim Archie as he got out of bed, "Will you shut up?"
There was silence. "CHHHHHHHHHHIRP!"
Archie sighed and decided to find the cricket and let it outside. He couldn't sleep with all of the noise. He spotted the cricket and he grabbed a piece of paper. "Here cricket," Archie called as he went to grab the cricket.
The cricket jumped onto the paper and walked over to Archie. It stood up on its legs. Archie rubbed his eyes thinking he was halluncinating this. "Jiminy!" exclaimed the cricket, "It's me…DAD!"
"Dad?"
Archie gasped and then fainted.
Hours later….
"Jiminy wake up, it's me your father. I'm a cricket."
"How did this happen to you?"
"Part of the evil queen's curse! My punishment was to turn into a cricket. I wasn't sure if you were going to understand me, so I tried to speak to you in cricket."
Archie tried to get away from the cricket as it fluttered all around him. "Get away from me," Archie gasped.
"Is that anyway to treat your old man? I told you that I was your parent and there was no escape," the cricket declared.
"No, you are wrong."
Archie grabbed the cricket by the wings and opened his front door and threw it outside and slammed the door.
