Dear Diary,

OMG! Today is that day! Me and Link are getting married today and I am so excited! I have awaited this day since May! I know...it has only been four months, but I can't wait any longer! Link has proposed to me a week ago and now we are getting married! Oh, daddy won't be pleased at all. He wanted me to marry a prince, but I said I prefer Link. I bet Link is this excited too. Anyways, I should be sleeping still.

Princess Zelda puts away her diary and tries to go back to sleep, but she is much too excited. Instead, she sneaks down to Link's room. Link is fast asleep. Zelda stands there for awhile watching him sleep.

Suddenly, the king steps into the room. "Zelda," he whispers, "Why are you out of bed?"

Zelda turns around quickly, "Father, I was just..."

"Checking out Link? The boy who should've been dead two months ago?" the king asks.

"No, father...I wasn't able to sleep so I went to see if Link was up," Zelda says.

"You two better not be planing anything behind my back..." the king says.

Link wakes up and says, "You know, that's exactly what we are doing!" Zelda stares wide eyed at Link.

"And what might that be?" the king asks.

"Your daughter and I are getting married today!" Link blurts out.

"Oh! Are you now? What makes you think I'm going to allow you two to do this?" the king asks.

"Father, Link is just joking!" Zelda lies.

The king laughs nervously, "Okay, I think you guys are tired. Get back to bed and we'll handle this later."

"What do you mean by "handle this"?" Link and Zelda ask.

"Zelda, I am your father and the king, I know what should and shouldn't happen," the king says while escorting her out of Link's room.

The king leaves Zelda in her bed and walks away.

Dear Diary,

I'm afraid that my father is planning something horrendous, but I have no idea what it is yet. I sure hope he thinks things through before acting. He may be the king, and he may be my father, but he cannot control everything.

Zelda puts up her diary and decides to rest longer, hoping the answer to the problem would come in a dream. It was a silent night, so peaceful. Time seemed to be moving slowly and no answer was coming to Zelda. However, she did in fact sleep well...
