"I should know the reason why my parents got divorced right?" the young raven haired girl questionably ask her friend.

"yeah..unless there's a murder to do with it" Zola's eyes widen with excitement, "That would be amazing."

Sofia pushes Zola's shoulder then the two girls burst with laughter. "Um, I don't think so."

"Sofia! C'mon lets go!" A older blonde woman appears behind the two girls, "Hi Zola."

"Hey Arizona" Zola holds herself up from the ground with her elbows and gives the woman a wave.

Sofia sighs and gets herself up off the grass. "Bye Zola I'll see you tomorrow or whenever".

"Hey little miss" Arizona wraps an arm around Sofia's shoulder.

"Please stop calling me that. I do have a name you know.." Sofia rolls her eyes.

"Woah someone's feeling sassy today."

"Why did you and mama get divorced?" Sofia stops in front of her mother's black BMW suv.

Arizona glares at her daughter and sighs. "I already told you be-"

"No, you gave me a lame version on why" She pouted.

Arizona gave no response but instead opened her car door. Sofia doing the same but on the front passenger seat. "Please mom, I'm thirteen now I think I can handle a little heartbreak story."

Heatbreak.

That's what Arizona felt as Callie gave her side of the 30-day seperation story. Arizona looked at her daughters brown orbs and saw the curiousity in her eyes.

"Sofia not today. I promise I will teach you someday."

"You said that a year ago" Sofia whispers under her breath.

"Mom!" Sofia runs through the front door of her mother's house.

"In the kitchen!"

"Why are you in the kitchen? Are you trying to burn the house down aga-Hey madre..what are you doing here?"

The latina opens her arms wide and smiles widely. "I'm back early from my conference and I wanted to surprise you"

Sofia walks up to her madre and gives her a warm embrace.

"Well I'm definitely surprised to see you two in the same room" Sofia snickers as she gives herself a mental high five.

"Hey that wasn't very nice." Arizona says from behind.

"Sorry, you know that I have a big mouth."

"Just like your father.."

She was only two when her father past away and every now and then her parents would remind her of him so she wouldn't be easy to forget him. Yes it was sad when there were Daddy-Daughter dances at school. But she had two great parents, two great moms and that's all she needed.

Sofia sighs and looks at her mom's,"I wish I knew what you mean't."

"Well, I thought all three of us could go out to dinner tonight" Arizona wiggles her eyebrows playfully at her daughter.

"Really! Are you serious? Which restrurant? Madre is for sure coming? What if we get des-"

Callie cuts her ramble off her putting her finger on sofia's lips. "Slow down there mija. And yes we may get dessert after. If its okay with your mom.."

"That's sounds super." Arizona flashes a smile with her proud dimples popping out.

"Some things never change" Callie smiles at her ex-wife and places a hand on her daughter's shoulder.
