Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, it's Christmas, enough said. And the fact that I got Skyrim might contribute to it also. But that's not the point! The point is... well there is not point. So go on ahead! Read! Review! Favorite if you feel the need!
And remember, reviewing is the only way I can get better. Thanks, have a merry (late) christmas :D
Warm Up
The sweat on his brow was starting to build up a thin layer of moisture. He hid behind a large rock, occasionally peaking out to see if the attacker was still there. He turned back to see the item, the one sole item that he had sworn to protect with his life.
He had gone through much toil to make sure no one had come into contact with it other than he. If anyone else retrieved it, than his mission would ultimately fail, and he did not need that.
He peaked out from cover one more time to make sure it was clear, and finding nothing, he decided to take a look at his surroundings.
He was on a beach, with clear, blue water to his left, just a few feet away. He was behind a large brown rock, if he wanted to, he could simply crumble off pieces of the fragile rock. Not good for cover, but perfect for hiding.
A Fire Nation vacation house was to his right, just above a natural sand cliff formed with the never ending motion of the waves.
He peaked out of his cover once more, seeing the enemy and quickly moving back behind it, praying he wasn't spotted. He was as quiet as he could be, so quiet in fact, that he could hear his own heart beat. He could hear the sea-gulls flying above the waters, the waves lapping at the pure white sand, and the foot-steps of the enemy searching for him.
He knew he would be spotted, that it would only be a matter of time when his cover would be discovered, and the item could be taken. That cannot happen.
He stepped out of his cover to face the enemy, who immediately turned to see him, and smiled.
"I see you've come out of hiding finally."
"You'll never get it, you know you will have to pry it from my cold dead fingers, which we both know it won't come to."
"Oh don't worry, that won't be needed."
Immediately, the oppressor launched a sneak attack of water from behind, bending it from the sea and pushing it onto his back and launching him to his face.
The sacred item that had been sworn to protect was almost taken, the enemy's hands almost grasped around it, but before she could take it, he manged to lift himself up and bend the sand around her, encase her in hardened sandstone bended into its solid state.
He stood straight and walked up to her proudly, taking his time and basking in his victory. He leaned against the shell and sighed happily.
"Having trouble getting out of your shell water bender? I'm sure you'll learn your lesson in time.
Then, the casing burst apart, sending pieces of the sharp rock in every direction, miraculously missing him, and staggering him to the ground from the force of the shock.
The girl was standing there, looking down on him with a smile.
"Having trouble keeping up boy?" she said.
She then looked at her main objective, the item he had so zealously guarded with all of his strength and prowess.
She walked up to it, strutting to show her pride in front of the incapacitated defender, and raised the blue flag up in her hands.
"Is this what you were keeping Avatar?" Katara said.
Then, Aang bended the sand below her feet to drag her over to him, sending her laughing over onto his body.
She saddled him and looked into his eyes, "Looks like I won this one."
"Katara one, Aang five." Aang boasted.
"Oh what ever." she replied.
Aang smiled up at her, and she smiled down to him. They both beckoned over to one another, marching their faces ever closer to the other.
They met in the middle, sending sparks running through their bodies, and relished the kiss they shared.
