Today was the day, Horace god of the sky and son of Osiris was to be crowned king. The palace and village were brimming over with excitement for the joyous occasion. On the streets bellow the grand epicenter a young man of sleight traversed through the crowds searching. The sweltering desert heat seemed to press upon his back with no breeze to cool him.
Merchants kept wary eye upon him recognizing the young man from previous encounters but they need not worry. They were not the ones to anger him this time. He continued his search with a darkness hidden in his shadowed expression.
Flashback
Bek had returned home after a long day of avoiding the guards that frequented the marketplace to complete silence. He did not find this unusual however as Zaya was often out these days doing who knows what. What was unusual though is that all of Zaya's clothing was missing from being scattered across the floor.
Zaya was by no definition a neat person and tended to leave items everywhere in their small home. Bek ran for the bedroom praying to any Gods that would listen that she hadn't left him but sure enough there was a note on the bed addressed to him.
Dearest Bek,
If you have found this note, it means I have finally worked up the courage to tell you I no longer love you. I believe I haven't for a while and so I found another, Ammon the master builder of Set. We are married so do not come looking for me.
Sincerely Zaya.
End Flashback
Of course Bek was sad at first but then his feelings had morphed to anger and righteous indignation. How could Zaya have done this to him? Bek was interrupted from his thoughts as he fell to the ground turning a corner into the darker alley.
Looking up he saw the towering form of the goddess of love Hathor. She to looked distressed and angered by something but seemed to come around upon impact. Using one giant hand she grabbed Bek and placed him on his feet.
"Sorry about that. Are you all right?"
Bek shook his head to clear it and looked up at her face. "Yes sorry for bumping into you young mistress?"

Hathor smiled and then lifted Bek up onto her shoulder and turned her head to the side. "My aren't you quite the gentleman. I know of your heartache come with me and I will protect your heart." and with that Hathor continued on her way to the ceremony.

Bek was absolutely bewildered as to why a goddess and not just any goddess but the goddess of love would be helping him. Had she seen his heartbreak and if she had why would she care?

"I care little thief because of how pure your connection is to my power. You love with your whole being withholding nothing. You are the first mortal I have met that feels as such"

Bek was astonished that he had a purity of feeling only seen before in Gods and Goddesses such as Hathor. She spoke with a strength and belief in her conviction of her understanding. "Lays ladaya 'ayu hubin."(I have no love.)

"At this moment young mortal. There will be a love to match that of yours in the future. One more suited for you than that of this weak woman who wishes only for material gain and advantage."

At that moment Hathor continued walking, grabbing Bek and placing him on her shoulder as if to say the discussion was over. Bek had never seen Egypt from a higher vantage point than the sandy marketplace. It was overwhelming to view the world as though he was not part of it.
