Jamie called back and in seconds was in the same room as her, "I suppose I should get going, I'll text you." "Okay, I have Danielle coming over anyway." Laura replied before Jamie kissed her forehead and left. "Aww Em, you always cry when your daddy leaves." Laura sighed minutes after Jamie's departure when Emily decided to start crying. "Okay, I'm coming." Emily was still confused with what was going on; one week her dad would be around a lot and then the next she'd only see him at weekends. On the plus side, raised voices weren't an issue anymore. "You don't like it when daddy's not here do you? Why don't I read you a story and then you go to sleep for mummy?" Laura carried Emily through to the living room of the flat and sat Emily on her lap. Not long later Emily was fast asleep and Laura and Danielle were sat on the sofa putting the world to rights when conversation turned to relationships. "So, new man?"
