NP: This is my idea of the fight scene between Mac and Stella in this episode. Hope you enjoy.
Mac Taylor was angry. Angrier than he'd ever been in his life, and once Stella got in, she'd feel his wrath.
He saw the curly haired detective coming out of the elevator, looking like she had been lately. Happy but disturbed.
"Stella!"
She looked up. Mac was motioning for her to come into his office. She could tell he was angry and she knew exactly why.
"How could you just go and disobey my orders Stella?"
"I had to -"
Mac glared at her. That was the same excuse Stella had pulled the last time he'd confronted her about this.
"You didn't HAVE to do anything."
Stella looked down. She hated fighting with Mac.
"You could have been killed Stella, or injured. Same with Angell."
"I know but -"
Mac silenced her.
"I don't want to hear about it."
Stella was shocked. Mac had never treated her like this. Never. She had just been protecting people from dying. It was her job to help the public right? She looked down at her gold detective badge on her waist. She remembered how happy she'd been when she got it. Mac had been there to celebrate with her. In fact, he'd been the first to congratulate her. Not that she'd had many more people to tell. She tore it off her belt and slammed it on his desk.
"Fine."
She walked out, opening the glass door of his office wide.
"Have a nice life, Detective Taylor."
Stella headed for the elevator, trying to get out before the tears came. Sheldon had seen the whole scene, along with everyone else in the lab and he tried to confront her on the way out.
"Stella -"
She turned to Sheldon, eyes full of tears. He was taken aback. Never had he seen her like that. Not once.
"I don't want to talk Hawkes."
She walked into the elevator and disappeared behind the doors.
Adam Ross in the trace lab kept looking from the elevator to Mac in his office in order to understand what had just transpired. Stella had just left, he didn't know where, and she was gone. She would probably never come back.
