Itachi watched Sasuke, his younger brother.
He loved his younger brother; he would do anything for him (even suffer death).
He knew that Sasuke hated him. Especially after what he did to the clan… Their family…

He couldn't tell Sasuke why he had done what he had done.
He couldn't tell him that he was ordered to or that Danzou had been the one who had ordered him to. He couldn't bear the thought of what Sasuke would feel.
He couldn't tell Sasuke he wanted to take him with him; to protect him from danger and everything else around him.

Thinking back, he had once heard a song like his situation.
It was a love song, but it worked just the same for him.
He still remembers the words.

"There's another world inside of me, that you may never see…" It was true.

"There're secrets in this life that I can't hide…" He tried to; so desperately.

"Somewhere in this darkness, there's a light that I can't find…" He felt lost, completely, without his little brother.

"Maybe it's too far away... Or maybe I'm just blind..." Itachi had known all his life he was going to go blind.

"Or maybe I'm just blind..." It was still just too shocking.

"So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong, hold me when I'm scared, and love me when I'm gone…" Kami, he wished he knew that somewhere deep inside Sasuke still loved him.

"Everything I am, and everything in me, wants to be the one, you wanted me to be…" An older brother… A training instructor… A friend… Himself…

"I'll never let you down…" He already had. "Even if I could…" He couldn't have stopped it.

"I'd give up everything, if only for your good…" He had, he would, and he will…

"So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong, you can hold me when I'm scared, you won't always be there…" He knew Sasuke wasn't always going to be there. He wasn't there for Sasuke, and he regretted it so.

"So love me when I'm gone…" He hoped. "Love me when I'm gone..." He begged.

"When your education X-Ray, cannot see under my skin…" He doesn't want to know what else he could do.

"I won't tell you a damn thing that I could not tell my friends…" He had secrets that could hurt Sasuke.

"Roaming through this darkness, I'm alive but I'm alone…" All alone…

"Part of me is fighting this, but part of me is gone…" He wasn't sure if there was anything of himself left.

"Or maybe I'm just blind..." He hoped Sasuke wouldn't share his fate.

"Love me when I'm gone..." He begged to Kami, please, Love him and save him!
