Chapter Three. Questions
Jay had been thinking about the weird entrance with the girl. Cole had called her Alex and it sounded nice, but was like a boy's name. He usually didn't like girls who had boy names because then they think they have to be like boys. This one had spunk and fire, and that was good. The others hadn't liked her. They had whispered with Jay and had decided that they would test her. He had tried to joke that she was probably there to see Cole and do nothing else, but that hadn't worked. So they were chased by a cold flame created (kind of) by Alex. He was also thinking about the thing that she had said to Kai, "don't mess with the animals or me" did that mean that could understand them, or that she was an animal? Jay had all these questions, but no answers. He felt confused and a little weird, almost like he knew her, but he knew that he didn't. If so then why would he have so many questions, and so few answers? Besides she was only a little bit older than them. But he was still worried about Kai, so he got up to find him, and saw him standing right inside the door to the outside. He walked up to him and said in a whisper "What's going on, and where is Cole?"
