Note From Author: This is my first NCIS story that's not a oneshot so please review!!! Also, just as a warning I tend to get halfway through my stories and then just lose the inspiration I had for them and never update. I'm really going to try not to do that this time because I really want to complete this story. This time I have most the story already planned out ahead of time so hopefully I'll be updating regularly. Also, I know this chapter is kind of short but I'll try to make them longer in the future. Hope you like, review!
Abby smiled as she spun on her computer chair while sipping her caf-pow. It was only 9 AM, usually she wasn't sipping her caf-pow quite this early but she had found it on herdesk first thing as a surprise from Gibbs. They had just wrapped up a particularly tough case, and Abby new that this was Gibbs' way of saying thanks.
She stopped spinning momentarily to turn up the music from a new band called Skeleton Assassins. Abby blasted it as high as it would go, and therefore didn't hear Gibbs' footsteps approach her. She spun around to find herself an inch away from his face.
"Gibbs!" she yelled over the music, "Don't scare me like that! It's not nice!"
"Abs, music." he motioned to her stereo.
"Do you like it? I just got it. Oh, and thanks for my amazing caf-pow, I think this is the earliest I've ever gotten one! It should be in the record books or something! Anyway, so the music, it's a little more techno than my usual stuff but so far-"
She had been interrupted when Gibbs pulled the plug from the stereo.
"Gee Gibbs, have you had your morning coffee yet?"
"Do you have the evidence cleared from the last case? His family is here to pick up his items." he asked.
"Yeah it's all right here and ready to go."
"Thanks Abs." Gibbs said while giving her a peck on the cheek.
Before Abby turned her music back on she called out to Gibbs who was walking towards the elevator, "Send Ziva down when she's free! She's the only one who hasn't heard this killer music yet!"
Gibbs didn't answer but Abby knew he heard her because he always did. With her music back on and caf-pow in hand she had all she could ever want.
"Hello baby," she said to a piece of equipment she was inserting a vial of blood into, "I've got some more blood for you to analyze! Yay!"
She skipped her way back to the computer and began typing away at the keys a thousand miles and hour. Not too much later she heard the elevator ding and called out, "Hey Ziva! Isn't this music wicked?"
Unfortunately, Abby's music was blasting so loud that she didn't realize there was three sets of footsteps or that all of them were much to heavy to belong to Ziva. She did however hear the door close and frowned, wondering why Ziva would close her always open lab door. She spun her chair around to ask when she saw three men dressed in black with ski masks, all armed, standing a few feet away from her. She was too stunned to speak, but as soon as she got her breath back she jumped out of her chair and made a beeline to the phone.
She never made it to the phone. A pair of strong arms pulled her back, and then suddenly her whole world turned to black . . .
