Warning: TWINCEST Parvati/Padma
Disclaimer: Not J K Rowling's. Unless she's a twincest shipper.
AN: OK, you've been warned. No flames, please. They're a waste of my and your time.
We'd finished drinking, knew we were drunk and didn't care. Now we were lying in the dark, trying to remember which of us had broken the light. Or had we forgotten to switch it on…?
Neither of us cared.
"Padma," I asked quietly, almost as though I didn't want to be heard, "have you ever kissed anyone?"
A pause. I squinted through the darkness at her.
"…No."
"Me neither."
Another pause. I could almost hear my sister's thoughts.
Eventually, she asked the question I'd been waiting for.
"Do you want to try?"
We found the room the week after we got back to Hogwarts. All we wanted was somewhere to get drunk.
I invited Lavender, and Padma brought her friend, Anita. Obviously, we got drunk, and after some half remembered nonsense, Lavender and Anita staggered back to their dormitories. That left me alone with my sister.
Padma turned to face me and we got started.
When Harry Potter asked me to go to the Yule Ball with him I was very surprised but when he asked if Ron could go with Lavender and I suggested Padma I had to bite the inside of my lip to keep my face straight.
As soon as Lavender and I got up to our dormitory, I collapsed in giggles. Lavender finally got round to asking me why after trying and failing to get Hermione to spill the beans on her partner.
"Well," I whispered, "I've heard that Harry and Ron are more than just friends, if you know what I mean…" I wiggled my eyebrows conspiratorially.
Lavender looked shocked. "Really?"
I nodded, grinning. I was the authority on relationships inside the school.
Lavender's mouth fell open, but I could hear Hermione's eyes rolling.
"You know when Harry and Ron fell out before the first task?"
Lavender nodded, eyes wide.
"Well, I don't know about you, but it looked like a lovers' quarrel to me."
Lavender gasped. "Surely not!"
"Why else do you think Harry denied having a relationship with Hermione so much?" I muttered. My voice was at minimum volume. "And have you noticed that he said no to every single girl that asked him to the Yule Ball? I bet the only reason he is asking me – and he did leave that 'till the last moment – is because he's a Champion and has to open the dance. Otherwise he and Ron would be going together… if they agreed to go public," I added.
Lavender's eyes were huge.
"Anyway, I'd better go and ask Padma…"
It took me less than a minute to reach our room. I knew it really well by now, having been there with Padma so often. She had the firewhisky ready on a table. I stepped into the room and pulled my reflection into a kiss that was hotter than any Mexican chilli.
Firewhisky could wait.
