What happened to Kairi as her heart entered Sora? Did she think, feel, remember any of the moments she had withhim on that journey to Kingdom Hearts? This is her story of the events as she followed Sora in a rather unique way. Co-Write by Moonii Yukkie.

Authors' Note: I think a story about Kairi is in order now. There are already many with Sora, and I haven't seen any stories when her heart is trapped within him. So, let's see how this goes, and if you like what we've written, make sure to review! Thanks!
Chapter 1 - Apocalypse

The night was darker than usual, Kairi noticed as the
storm grew stronger.

The violet was being slowly taken over by a dark ooze,
and the island looked as if a monster was slowly
swallowing the tropical paradise. Kairi had rowed out
to her sanctuary, looking to protect the raft that
they had built. She shivered as the night went on to
mix with the black ooze, and began to hurry towards
the vessel that was planned to take them to other
worlds.

Too bad destiny had other plans.

Kairi looked on to the secret place. Somehow, her body
was drawn to it and she couldn't turn away. She
couldn't argue with herself as she crawled into the
opening and emerged in the hidden cavern. Her body
stopped right in front of the door. She stared at it,
wondering what had made her lose control of herself.

"Wha..."

The outline of the door became engulfed in light.
Kairi squinted her eyes as she continued to stare, but
then something overcame her once again. Her body
lurched forward, and she was hit with excruciating
pain. She doubled over in spasms as she was met with
blow after blow. She felt...she felt as if she was
having her heart pulled out from her whole body.
Looking at her hands, she began to see her whole self
begin to turn transparent. Her heart wanted to stay,
but her body was being taken away to another place.
She began to fight it, the overwhelming feeling to
leave her world and go through the door, and her
rebellion was met with more shots of pain entering her
chest. It had to be only a few minutes, but it felt
like hours of this terrible torture of being ripped
apart. Kairi couldn't carry on anymore.

"Kairi!" Sora called out to her as he saw her fading
body in front of the door.

"Sora..." was the last word she uttered as she gave
up, and let the wind blow her through him.

That night the world was destroyed.

I knew it felt different. I couldn't control anything,
it was like I was watching a movie. Like it was some
kind of dream. I knew it was different. The emotions I
was feeling, the determination. The overwhelming
courage. It felt like someone I knew -someone I had
secretly fell in love with- but it wasn't me. I
watched the eyes open to see the face of a funny dog.

Authors' Note: This is a short chapter, but that's the
way it goes. Sorry! Look out for Moonii's chapter!
