Hi! I'm Ari, and this is my first PJO fanfic. It took me a while to get here, I must say.

I hope you enjoy this... thing I have written.

There were so many things she should've said to him. Would've said to him. Could've said to him.

Didn't.

She always knew it would happen.

He told her when (she remembered the fight with Thanatos afterwards) it would happen, and why.

She remembered the time before the Lotus Hotel, the time in the dark, gloomy Underworld. She remembered the scathing glares, the hours as a daisy (always a daisy) and the general air of nastiness and disdain she would receive. The perks of being Persephone's illegitimate stepdaughter, of course.

He- her father, that cruel, horrible man- had eventually let her go, take Nico away from that dark, dark place, put them in the hotel (the lair of the Lotus Eaters, the blonde girl had said) for decades, enough time for his memories to fade away- but not hers.

Bianca remembered.

She knew it would happen, and when, but she joined them anyway, and the quest- the quest she should've never gone on- had taken her exactly four days and twenty hours earlier.

So of course she couldn't tell him, her baby brother, how much she loved him.

How sorry she was.

And that she'd always known.

She'd never told him why she'd joined them, in the end. She figured he would be better off not knowing that she'd wanted to be free for the last few weeks of her life. She'd joined the Hunters to get away from him.

The little pang in her chest was worse each time she thought about it, and it was always preying on her mind these days.

Lady Artemis knew. Most of the Hunt did. On her last day, they were going to visit camp, and she could die with him, her precious brother who she felt she'd abandoned. She'd abandoned him when he needed her most.

But then Luke messed everything up and she died early and she didn't get to say goodbye.

Luke went insane and her brother payed the price (she was going to die anyway, that's why she went. She shouldn't have, but Percy Jackson had so much to live for and if he died then Nico would be the child of the prophecy (he would make it that long, for that she knew) and he would be driven to madness and he wouldn't be able to handle the pressure and it would break him) because he didn't get a goodbye.

But at least it was worth it.

For her, at least. Nico had always wanted the Hades (the name alone sent shivers down her back) figurine to complete his set, but Bianca was afraid that it would jog his memory (it actually looked like their father) and he would change, change so much that he wouldn't be her Nico anymore, he wouldn't be her baby brother who loved Mythomagic figurines and the colour purple.

She figured, if she was going to die anyway, she could let him have it. Let him have this one thing. Even if it killed her.

So... that happened. I'm not really sure what it was, I just let my fingers type.

This fandom does need more Bianca though.

Xoxo,

~Ari
