Sam and Tucker were walking to their last class of the day, "Thank God the days almost over!" said Danny, "but I heard bad things about our teacher for this period!"
"you're just being paranoid," responded Sam as they walked into the classroom just as the bell rang. The Teacher was already at the board, he was a short stout man with thin greying hair.
"Hello, my name is Mr. Ericson and I will be your science teacher for the semester!" now that he spoke, Danny, Sam, and Tucker started to think that maybe the rumors were false and the Teacher was actually a cool guy! "so, lets start with roll call so that I know your names as well." With this, he began calling out names in alphabetical order.
When he got to Tucker Foley, Danny was prepered to correct his teacher, knowing that he would call him Daniel...but he never did, instead of calling Daniel Fenton, Mr. Ericson called out Dan Fenton.
"oh no," Tucker muttered, knowing that Danny hated the name, and for good reason!
"excuse me sir, but my name is not, nor will ever be in the future, Dan Fenton. I would appreciate it if you call me Danny." Explained the boy calmly.
"I am sorry Dan but who's name is on the board? Mr Ericson...thats me...which means that in THIS classroom I am the boss, you can not tell me what to do or say."
"Mr. Ericson, I strongly urge you to call him Danny, even Daniel...anything but Dan, he has an issue with somebody named Dan." Explained Sam as Tucker tried to calm down a fuming Danny.
"Im sorry miss-"
"-Sam"
"I am sorry Samantha but the last time that I checked, your name isnt Dan so you do not need to speak for him."
"actually, a) last I checked, my name wasnt Samantha either, and b) I hate the same guy named Dan so yes, it is my business!"
"well Samantha, you can hate Dan all you want but I do not so I will continue calling Dan here by the name that I choose."
"believe me...If you met him, you would hate his guts," Tucker pitched in.
"yet I havent, so I dont."
Now Danny spoke, "sir, if you continue calling me Dan you will meet the real Dan soon enough."
"Danny you dont mean that, you went through all the trouble to destroy him...dont turn into him now!" pleaded Tucker and Sam...now everybody was getting confused.
"I'm sorry but I have no Idea who we are talking about so I am not sure if I could meet him." Mr Ericson was very confused now.
"his name is Dan Phantom and he is Danny Phantom, the town ghost's, evil future self." At this the class erupted in conversation about the ghost boy. And the teacher came up to Danny's desk, leaned over and snarled in his ear.
"I dont know what you are playing at Dan Fenton, but if I hear one word about time travel, evil ghosts, or not liking your name, you are going to be expelled, got it DAN?" Danny had had enough...in the chaos of the conversations, Danny said his catchphrase loud enough for only his friends to hear as they shielded him from the view of his classmates.
Now Danny Phantom yelled at the teacher, "MY NAME IS NOT DAN!" and with the last word came his ghostly wail that shattered the glass and sent the students ducking behind the desks. Knowing that the students would realise his secret based on his timing and what he said, Danny Phantom transformed back into Danny Fenton as he made his way to the door. When he got there, he looked back at the mess that he had caused and caught the eyes of Sam Manson and Tucker Foley...
...and they could swear they saw a glint of red in his eyes.
