So I tried...sorry if it sucks.
Sawyer was chopping wood in a clearing in the jungle. Again. As if he was the only one who knew how to hold an axe.
He stopped a moment to take a drink from his water bottle. He got ready to lift the axe again when he paused to look over his shoulder, thinking he had heard something. Nothing.
Sawyer went back to chopping wood. A bush off to his left rustled. Sawyer looked up, resting the handle of the axe against his leg.
"Well, well, well. Come to steal my gun again, chica?" Sawyer drawled.
Ana Lucia kept walking toward him. Her face was serious, even as her eyes roamed appreciatively over Sawyer's bare chest.
She walked straight up to Sawyer and placed her hands on his cheeks and pulled his head down to meet hers.
Sawyer was surprised, to say the least. Ana had barely spoken a word to him since he had taken care of her after she was shot. Yet, here she was kissing him. Sawyer was too far stunned to do anything but kiss her back. Her tongue at this point had run slowly across the seam of his lips. He found himself opening his mouth wide to accommodate her. His hands wrapped tightly about her hips, hers tangled in his hair. She teased him and ran her tongue along the roof of his mouth before pulling away.
Ana grinned wickedly at him and took his hands off her waist. She stepped away, her eyes never leaving his face. She licked her lips, whether unconsciously or not, before turning away from Sawyer. Sawyer took a deep breath to clear his mind. He had the strangest feeling he was going to regret what he was about to do.
He reached out and grabbed Ana's arm. She turned to look back.
"Hell was that?" Sawyer asked.
Ana shrugged, a smirk on her face. "I wanted to thank you…for taking care of me."
Sawyer's signature dimpled grin slid into place. "Right. That's the only reason, sugar? You could've just said it."
Ana shook her head, that ridiculous smile still on her face. She stepped back up to him and let her body lean into his heat. "I thought you'd like this better."
Sawyer knew she was just waiting for him to kiss her. As hard as he tried not to (which wasn't very), he leaned in and kissed her gently.
"You're welcome, cupcake."
Ana smiled for real and kissed him again with passion.
Turns out, Sawyer didn't regret choosing Ana. She was a damn good kisser.
