Speechless
by D. Reed
There were benefits to being the town mute. Link never had to worry about saying the wrong thing. The other villagers looked after him, and he never had to outright ask for anything. He could get by the manly way: grunting. And even when Ilia yelled at him for one reason or another, he never had to resort to retorts.
However, sometimes he felt like nobody took him seriously enough. Even when he started on a quest to save Hyrule – he learned along the way he was more than capable – he still felt unappreciated.
He would show them true courage.
100 words in story body. Written for Varethane, who requested LoZ: TP's Link (Linkface! haha) for a drabble meme at LiveJournal. More video game fun! (Actually, this was first, but whatever. XD)
