"You put him in a coma and gave him amnesia?!"

Booth was lying in his hospital bed reading Brennan's newest manuscript from her laptop. Normally, she would have made him wait until it was published, but the combination of his charm smile and the fact that he had just undergone brain surgery gave him the upper hand in convincing her.

"No. His reaction to the anesthesia put him in a coma and gave him amnesia."

"That is so wrong! He'll remember her eventually though, right?"

"I haven't decided yet," she replied thoughtfully.

"What? Everybody knows Andy and Kathy are meant to be together! How can that happen if Andy doesn't even know who she is?"

"Booth, they're fictional characters; even if there was such a thing as 'meant to be together'," she said with air quotes, "it wouldn't apply to them."

"Come on Bones! You know they're more than fictional characters. You created them. You made them real."

"…I don't know what that means."

"It means, that in the minds of your fans- including me -," *charm smile* "these characters are real. The love they have for each other is real. You can't just throw that away…Besides, your publisher would probably kick your ass." He bumped his charm smile up a few more notches.

She thought this over as Booth shut down her computer. "I guess that's understandable."

"Ha! That means I'm right!"

"No! That just means I will consider both opinions before making my final decision."

"That means I'm right," he said under his breath.

"Need I remind you that I am the one who gets you your pudding," she added just as quietly.
