Now Leaving Normal
An Instant Star spin off.
Intro.
I never liked it at home in Vancouver. My parents always supported my younger brother, Ryan, with his acting. My older brother, Jamie, lived with our nana since he was in preschool but, still came to visit me every year since I was five. It was kind of like… Christmas but, in April. I came to visit him in Toronto a few times. His best friend, Jude, was always so talented and when I heard she won Instant Star I knew Jamie would be behind her 100. No doubt about that.
I have a dream of my own. I've always wanted to be a dancer. I took classes when I was little until I was ten years old. That's when my parents told me that I needed to grow up and focus on becoming something in my life. I had and still have this strong passion for dancing. I mostly dance contemporary. When Ryan wanted to act and they let him, I couldn't believe it. The parents, who told me that I needed to stop dancing and join the real world, are letting him act.
This past year has been really hard on me and my family. Ryan did about three commercials and now he's too hard to live with. So, I'm moving to Toronto to live with Jamie and Nana. I can't wait to see him. This last year has been amazing for him. With the launch of NBR and still keeping it working after Pegan Smith pulled out.
