TOGETHER…..ALWAYS
Hermione gazed at the crumbling ruins of Hogwarts. The battle had ended yesterday. They had won .Harry survived. Voldemort was gone for good. But so many other wonderful
courageous people were gone . .And knew Ron was heartbroken. But she knew they couldn't do anything. Fred had died for the greater good. The Weasleys were all in
mourning. A tear rolled down Hermione's cheek.
Harry joined her."oh Harry" she said. "I know we've won but I still can't help feeling miserable". "I understand that, Hermione "he replied. "But if there's one thing I'm grateful
for, it's that you and Ron are here standing beside me "Hermione turned and saw Ron standing grimly on Harry's other side."WE'll always be there for you mate.Always.Just like
we know you will always be there for us "said Ron. "I know Ron" said Harry. "I intend to keep the promise I made when I was 13. I'm sure I've been successful so far" said Ron
making them all laugh.
The three of them stood there reminiscing the past 7 years they had spent together in the castle. It was like a dream. Becoming a team because of the mountain troll… risking
their lives for each other to save the philosopher's stone….catching Slytherin's heir…saving Sirius…twisting time…being there for each other…the Triwizard tournament…The
horntail…The Yule ball…Gillyweed…Cedric…Voldemort….Helping each other through tough times….The Order…Occlumency..Blessed Dumbledore's Army…fending off
Umbridge….and then that dreaded night at the ministry…Sirius's death….and facing all the angst together…and then the Half blood Prince…Horcruxes…Dumbledore's death…
Snape….And staying by each other…The Battle of the seven Potters…hunting for horcruxes….battling each other…. And then finally as one ….they destroyed the horcruxes , lost a
lot of people, defeated Voldemort, kept Harry alive,learnt the truth about ,well everything and then the deathly hallows…
Harry broke the silence "Hogwarts was my first home. And the two of you were my first family" and he pulled them into a hug. "WE'll always be together" whispered
Hermione."Till the death " agreed Ron. "I just wish Fred had survived" he added.
"Who said I didn't?" came a voice from behind them. And there was the floating ethereal form of FRED WEASLEY. A ghost with bright red hair, piercing blue eyes and a huge
smile. "Fred" yelled Hermione. "But how did you come back "asked Harry. "He's a ghost,idiot " said Ron who was too shocked to say anything else. "But" said Harry. "I wasn't
afraid of death, Harry "said Fred. "But apparently me and George have a magical bonding. Cause we're twins. I'm just here for as long as my twin's gonna live."
"That's brilliant "said Ron, Hermione and Harry in perfect sync. "Come on "said Fred "I wanna go meet the rest of the family. Just don't want my funeral yet. Oh and you're
invited to join me brother, brother and future sister." And his laughter rang out.
Harry, Ron and Hermione smiled at each other. And in that moment they knew. The three of them would be happy and together…..always.
