The second in my series of random coversations between Yasuhara and Mai.
Part two:
In which Mai and Yasuhara wonder what Lin does on his lap top all day.
Disclaimer: I dont own ghost hunt.
"What do you think he types all day?" Mai whispered to Yasuhara as they sat on the couch. They were working a case and Lin, Yasuhara and Mai had been told to watch base and as usual Lin sat at his lap top typing furiously.
"I dunno. He's not always typing though, is he?"
"True." Mai nodded and watched him intently. "I bet he just plays solitare all day. Maybe Minesweeper."
"Maybe he's looking up porn." Yasuhara whispered with a mocking shocked voice.
"Gay porn." Mai giggled and Yasuhara smirked.
"I think he's writing a epic love story where the leading couple have to over come lots of obsticals such as jelouse exes, dissaproving parents and their own tragic and dark pasts." He made dramatic hand gestures.
"The heroine was most likely a hooker before she buckled down and got a respectable job as a secretary but she's still haunted by those nights walking the streets. And she most likely had a string of abusive boyfriends." Mai added in.
"And the hero was engaged before and was really in love but his fiancee was killed on their wedding day by an ex-boyfriend who was still in love with her. And he feels like he's betraying her by being in love with the heroine but when they finally get together the fiancee comes back and he finds out she wasn't really dead!"
"But didn't he see her get killed?"
"No, everyone just thought she got killed because it happened on the way to the wedding and the ex-boyfriend confessed to hitting her over the head and throwing her off a bridge." He fixed his glasses. "But she actually got washed up and found by a kind elderly couple who took her in and treated her as their own daughter because they reminded them of their daughter who died in a car crash. But she had amnesia at the start then years later she remembered him and tracked him down."
"Ooooh and maybe she just so happens to be the Heroines long lost sister."
Yasuhara nodded. "And they hero doesn't know who he loves more and just as he's about to propose to the heroine because he's figured out he loves her more, the ex-fiancee turns up and shows him a kid and says it's his but in actual fact it's the heroines daughter, the one she gave up for adoption before she quit being a hooker."
"But no one knows that, only the daughter because she has a locket with a picture of her mother in it that was the only thing the heroine gave to her daughter." Mai gasped mockingly.
"But the heroine flees before the daughter has a chance to tell them all and goes missing."
"And the hero screams that he never wants to see his ex-fiancee again and hires a private investigater to find the heroine but he never does."
"But in the end they reunite and get married and the little girl comes to live with them." Yasuhara finished off and Mai couldn't help but laugh out loud.
They shut up quickly at the glare from Lin, the one they always got for being too loud. The sat with straight faces, like naughty school children getting told off.
As soon as he turned back to his computer the pair bent over in silent giggles.
"Back to writing that epic love story." Yasuhara hissed before they both burst out in roaring laughter whilst Lin just looked at them like they were cats who started to read the news paper. Out loud.
"Teenagers." He muttered.
