Another request by tate310, this time it's "Edward's Brass Band" from Season 7. Enjoy and comment.

Summer is a very busy time on the Island of Sodor. Tourists have so much to see and do. There are trips to the seaside, hot air balloon rides in the country, and brass band concerts in the park.

One morning, Edward was in a hurry. He didn't even stop to say hello to Stepney, who was visiting Sir Topham Hatt' railway.

Thomas was pleased to see Edward.

"Where are you going today?" asked Thomas.

"I'm going to pick up the brass band for a big concert tomorrow!" replied Edward.

"Don't crack your smoke box!" teased Thomas.

Edward couldn't wait to hear the brass band play their music. He was so excited, that he didn't notice the giant crane unloading a huge boiler.

Suddenly, the crane swung the boiler, and knocked Edward off the track! Cranky was watching.

"You engines are always in the way!"

Sir Topham Hatt came as fast as he could.

"James will take you to the works, and Bertie will have to take the brass band."

Edward was sad.

That night, a massive storm came through. The workmen spent the whole night repairing Edward.

Morning came, and Sir Topham Hatt arrived.

"Please sir!" pleaded Edward, "will the workmen be finished soon?"

"I'm afraid not. Bertie will take the band."

Edward felt worse than ever.

Bertie collected the brass band right on time. He bombed cheerfully along the country roads.

Then, there was trouble. The storm had flooded the road, forcing Bertie's driver to take a short cut.

The road was very muddy, and Bertie's wheels did not like the mud. They scooted, skated, slid, and slipped!

"I'm stuck!" he groaned.

Bertie revved his engine, but his wheels spun round and round! He couldn't move!

The brass band was worried.

"We mustn't be late for tonight's concert! Tune up your tuba!" called the leader of the band. "We must call for help!"

Edward had finally been repaired. He was coupled to the coaches and was about to set off for work, when he heard something.

"That sounds like music!" said his driver.

"That's not music!" wheeshed Edward. "That's an alarm!"

They soon raced off to the rescue.

The musicians were delighted to see their old friend, and so was Bertie!"

"I'll get you to the concert on time!" cried Edward.

"Thank you!" said the band.

The concert was a huge success! Everyone loved the music, especially Edward!
