In the beginning, there was Chaos. Chaos stood as the only force in existence, constantly creating and destroying countless things. Eternities came and went until, finally, Chaos was split into two, creation and calamity, by its own cycle of creation and destruction. Both Creation and Calamity held each other in high esteem, yet Calamity hated that his sister would create things to relieve her loneliness rather than come to her own sibling.

Outraged by Creation's actions, Calamity made it his personal objective to destroy all of his sister's creations and return to when they were the only two in existence. Calamity, through his rage and destructive tendencies, was given the name Kalameet and took on the form of an impossibly large, black dragon.

Creation, in a desperate attempt to stop her brother, took on a similar form and clashed with Kalameet, inevitably she was forced to seal him within a world that was created by gods, all of whom were created similarly to the siblings and assisted her in her battle. For her efforts Creation was given the name Seere, or peace, as that is what she sought to create.

For millennia Seere watched the gods and the creatures she helped to create. These creatures included Kitsune, the original group of Devils, Humanity and, most terrifying yet beautiful to her, a race known as the Darkbeasts.

The Darkbeasts were undoubtedly the most vicious race to be created; they killed anything that entered their territory if it were not a human, fellow Darkbeast or mate of a Darkbeast, destroyed churches and devil hideouts, they even challenged dragons for sport claiming them to be the only prey, aside from gods, that could last long enough to entertain them.

It wasn't until the middle of the war between heaven, the fallen and devils, a time when two Heavenly dragons warred against one another, that the Darkbeasts were exterminated by a temporary truce between the factions for their own safety… or so they thought. In what is now known as the United States, as small village of Darkbeasts were able to successfully hide their presence from the world. And yet all good things must come to an end.

In the 5th century AD a young hybrid was born to a half-devil man of the Agares family and a half-Darkbeast half-angel woman of Uriel's descent. This young boy, unbeknownst to the village he was born to, would be the end of this peace as his power, like his existence, was and unnatural combination. One that resulted in the utter annihilation of almost everyone on the hidden continent. Those who survived the boys temporary insanity held different views on how to live, and thus decided to split into the many groups that are today known as American Indians.

Seere, in attempt to protect the boy from harm, used a magic circle to transport him to England so as to raise him under the command of a family she knew would raise a powerful leader of the church's forces. Thus our tale of the True Nightmare begins.
