Chihiro smiled as she closed the trunk of the car. Finally, after months of planning she was here. Tokyo University. She grinned and stepped up on to the sidewalk and waved to her parents. She watched as they drove off and went into her dorm building. She stooped at the front desk and smiled at the woman behind the counter.
"Hello, I'm Kusumoto, Chihiro."
The woman turned to her computer and typed away. She looked back up at Chihiro and nodded. "Room B16. Here is your key, don't loose it. Your roommate is Takai, Naomi."
Chihiro bowed and walked off.
She was pulling her key out of her pocket when the door slammed open. Chihiro stumbled back just in time to avoid getting hit with the door. A short girl with thick black hair looked up at her. She laughed, "I heard you from inside! You sure are noisy!" She bowed, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Takai, Naomi. You must be my new roommate Chihiro."
Chihiro bowed. As she opened her mouth to speak Naomi started talking again.
"Your stuff got her a couple days ago. I stacked the boxes in your room." She absently took her think black hair out of the low ponytail she held it back in and redid it. "Well come on in. I was about to take a shower, but make yourself at home." She went back into the apartment and walked off through a door in the back. She poked her head back out, "Oh yeah, this is my room, your room is there." She pointed to a door next to hers. She pulled her back in and shut the door.
Chihiro stared at the door Naomi had just shut, 'She's insane…' Chihiro shut the apartment door behind her and looked around. It reminded her a lot of the apartment from the old show Friends with a small kitchenette and a little sitting area with a small balcony off to one side. She went back into the room Naomi had indicated as being hers. She moved the boxes off the small bed in the room and began to open boxes and unpack. She made her small bed first and then stretched out on it. 'I'll finish unpacking later. My first class isn't till tomorrow so I've got plenty of time.' She yawned and shut her eyes. 'A nap sounds good right now…' She rolled onto her side and curled up.
