Wrote this in Physics the other day. Yey.
When Greed left, Envy wished he had his courage. His will to get what he wanted. To leave their Father, even though he knew what He was capable of.
Envy was still young. Practically a new born. Greed had taken care of him, taught him how to take care of himself. They fought sometimes, and Greed always had the upper-hand simply because he seemed to know everything about the younger homunculus.
When Greed left, Envy missed him, but he had decided that someday he'd follow Greed. It would be the two of them against the world.
But Father never gave Envy the chance. Never gave him a reason to leave. Wrath disobeyed Him, and He showed the rest how easy it was for Him to replace them.
Eventually, Envy's awe and envy for Greed's courage got twisted into hate and resentment. How could Greed have betrayed them like that?
When Greed was brought back and killed, Envy took great joy in seeing him die. Even though he tried to hide it, Envy could see the pain on his face.
Envy vowed to always follow father.
Father would never betray him.
