Percy walks over to the shelf to get the decorations. He hands them over to Dora.
She happily smiles and starts decorating the tree while Percy sits on the couch, watching her. She hums happily, pulling ornaments out of the case and putting them on the tree the Muggle way.
Percy doesn't understand why she doesn't just use magic. It would make things go so much faster. He thinks it has something to do with her childhood, especially since her dad is a Muggle-born. She probably decorated the tree the old-fashioned Muggle way while she was a kid, and she never started using magic when she began living on her own.
"You should help me," Dora says.
Percy despondently sighs. "Can I use magic?"
"No."
Percy thinks about arguing, but looking at his wife's face, he knows he won't win. She's determined, and once she decides something, nothing and no one can change her mind.
He stands up, shuffling his feet forward. He starts digging through the box and pulls out a couple of ornaments, hanging them on the tree.
Dora smiles sweetly. "Isn't it so much better when we do it together?"
"Can I at least get a kiss for my efforts?"
"Of course." She pecks his lips, leaving him yearning for more, before she goes back to the box.
Percy goes back to decorating, feeling his heart warm when Dora smiles widely at him. It makes him feel good to make her so happy.
