They were circling each other, ready to fight. One had a large sword, the other a long sword. They both had cold, mean looks, ready to strike. They began getting closer to each other. It was raining, causing their clothes to be heavier, making it harder for them to move as they both lunged at each other. They both let out violet yells. Their blades made contact, making a loud cling. One man smirked.
A girl yells out one of the man's names. "Zack!" the girl's brown braids swayed and bounced as she ran towards them. "Zack! Stop this! Please! He'll kill you!"
The guy, now known as Zack, looked at her and gave her a small grin. "It's okay Aeris. I'll be okay." Then he glares at the man who he was fighting, who was now smirking. "Sephiroth, don't bring her into this. If you do, I swear I'll find Jenova and destroy her!"
The now known Sephiroth frowned. "Don't you dare touch mother!" He swung his sword at Zack, but he was too clever to get hit. He kept putting his blade in the way of the blows. Zack had a bit of a smirk on his face now. He swung his sword, hitting Sephiroth's side.
"D-damn you..."
Aeris had a new hope. Zack was winning. At least that's what she had though.
"Zack! No!"
Zack coughed out blood as Sephiroth pulled his sword from his body. He fell to the ground, bleeding out horribly. Aeris ran to him. She knelt down beside him.
"Zack...No." she pleaded, "You can't die!"
He just let out a weak smile. "I'm sorry Aeris...I couldn't kill him for you." He said quietly.
Aeris's tears couldn't be controlled. "You don't have to kill him for me... I love you Zack, and nothing can change the way that I feel..."
Then Zack died without being able to tell her that he loved her too. Aeris screamed out and cried. She had just lost her lover.
Then, more people started to sow up and began grieving for their fallen comrade. Sephiroth, still there, just smirked. "That's what he get's."
All the Soldiers looked at him. One of them, whose name was Angeal, spoke out. "You bastard!"
The Soldiers started running after him when Sephiroth began to run. They went into the forest, which was much like a maze. Their were many obstacles getting into their paths of running. But, that didn't stop Sephiroth. He was cutting down anything in his path, but it was making it easier for the Soldiers to follow him.
Then, when they were finally gaining up on him, they came across an opening and a cliff. Sephiroth had stopped running and turned to face them.
"Looks like a dead end." He said.
Then the Soldiers lunged towards him. It was going to take a lot to defeat him, and they all knew it. If Zack couldn't take him down though, then maybe no body could. But, they didn't care. Sephiroth was killing them off, but at them same time, was getting covered in injuries. Then, Angeal lunged at him, yelling out in anger, and plunged his sword into Sephiroth's stomach.
Sephiroth just stood there. A smirk formed across his lips as he turned towwards the end of the cliff.
"Farewell." he said. "For now."
Then he jumped. All the remaining Soldiers figured he died from that fall as they all walked away. Angeal wiped a couple of tears away as he walked with them all.
Down at the bottom of the cliff, Sephiroth stood up, removing Angeal's sword from his stomach. He threw it down to the ground and then started walking, a smirk across his lips. "One down, two to go."
