Disclaimer: I own nothing but Natalee Wallace. Just borrowing the others to play a little with

Author note: Please review. I am eager to know if anyone is actually interested in Natalee and her story

Rocky Mountains, 2011

She felt him the moment he landed on earth. The devil was once again among humans. Every few decades he would come topside to play with the humans. He never really caused any damage during these visits and they never lasted long, so she had so far not had a reason to interfere. His presence on earth never went unnoticed to her though. Angels did not know how to contain their presence, or hide their powers, as their father had never taught them how. As such she always felt them when they entered the earthly plane. They all had subtle differences to how they felt which most likely had to do with their personalities. The devil himself had a surprisingly light and happy feel to him, which no doubt had to do with his light bringer nature. No, the devil's presence never bothered her much. It was the one who inevitably followed a few days later that annoyed her. His brother Amenadiel. His presence was heavy with self-importance and pride and always landed on her with the weight and feel of a truck crashing down, almost knocking the wind out of her.

Natalee Wallace kept mostly to herself in her comfortable cabin up in the Rockies, far from any neighbours. She preferred the peace and quiet and solitude of nature and animals as her only company. There was no need for anything else, no desire for anything else. Humans were aware she lived there but allowed her to keep to herself, as they did anyone else who chose solitude in those mountains. Each time a celestial visited the earthly plane she could feel them, but more often than not they would be gone soon enough. She wanted nothing to do with them and as long as they posed no threat to her existence or that of the earthly plane itself, she kept her distance. God himself knew about her, obviously, but accepted her choices and she was rather certain none of his children were aware she existed. That was how she preferred it so she was pleased.

With the devil back on earth, she was sure Amenadiel would not be far behind and sure enough, two days later she sucked in a breath as his presence crashed down on earth. She shook the feeling away and scratched the back of her neck to alleviate some of the pressure then continued with her day. The two would be leaving now and things could go back to normal. As the sun moved across the sky, however, the feeling did not change. They had not left. Why? What was happening?

With the sunrise the next morning she began to worry. Never before had Amenadiel taken such long to get his brother back to hell. Something must have happened. But what could possibly make Amenadiel of all creatures hesitate? Was there a threat she had not felt? Were there humans in danger? But no, Amenadiel never cared for humans so their well-being would surely not delay him. Perhaps the time had come for her to take a look for herself? What finally made the decision for her was when Lucifer disappeared for a brief moment only to return with a demon. Natalee despised demons. They were empty, soulless creatures who only lived to inflict pain and torture to the human souls in hell. She would never allow one to remain on earth for long. It had been a matter of long discussion between her and God and she had finally gotten her way and the beings had been banned from earth. For one to arrive now meant something was definitely wrong. She quickly packed a bag and headed off to LA to make sure humanity survived whatever those three idiots were up to.

She arrived in LA just in time to finally feel Amenadiel leaving earth. It was a relief to no longer feel him. What troubled her though, were the devil and demon still present on earth. Amenadiel had never before left without returning his brother to hell, and to leave him on earth with a demon was very out of character for the selfish little prick. However, as she felt no immediate threat from them she decided to stay in town and keep an eye on them before deciding what to do. Perhaps there was no need to intervene after all.
