A/N: it has been a while, hasn't it? My long absence from the keyboard is due to … dark souls. But I guess you have already guessed it ( CreedOfOurOwn ps3 account btw). The whole world and lore embraced me like Fina's on Lautrec. Anyway, this is but a mere short dedication to every and anything related to dark souls, praise the sun!
. . .
"M-my very own sun… I am my sun!" There he was, the man of Astora drawing his sword against the woman of Vinhiem. She could not believe her eyes; how could such a man who was her savior in her trek to break the curse of the undead became a crazed shell of his former self?
"Solaire! Please stop! Don't you remember who I am? The moments we share!" she could not bring herself to trade blows with him not in a hundred years; the crystal shield of her started to crack from the successive blows of both his miracles and his trusty sword.
"What a jolly moment this is!" Solaire exclaimed "as if Lordran is quenched beneath my boots! You… you will not stop me from my destiny!" His spear of sunlight shattered her shield with ease afterwards sending shards of crystals all over her crimson robes.
The sorceress resorted to her agility to parry his attack in the dead hallways of Izalith. But the tangling roots of old tripped her to her demise. His sturdy blade had finally met her tender flesh. She let out a moan chocked by blood. The man's bloodlust seemed to ceased later on, a glimpse of his former self briefly appeared "any last words?"
"I…I want to…to see the face of the … man… I love." The moment he approached her, the moment she stuck her parrying dagger…
Arrrgh!
Cold black blood slowly dripped on Solaire's iron helm onto his eyes. He flinched before taking off his helm. The sunlight maggot had a dagger in it, it's light slowly faded.
"Gods…what have I done?!" The woman he swore to aid and protect was but a lifeless corpse staring at him. Memories of the past and the present flashed through his eyes. "I was so… blind. For all of these years, I searched high and low for my sun…but it was here all along… it was you."
Years would pass till another chosen undead would walk in these hallways to find another untold tale of misery and demise.
. . .
This was actually based on my first walkthrough; I just could not kill him.
Cry and praise the sun!
