Dis trembled violently as she stared sightlessly at the dwarves before her. Blood pounded through her, filling her ears with the sound of waves crashing on the shore. A deep clawing pain grew in her chest, crawling up her throat. Slowly, she bonelessly collapsed to the ground.

"No. No no no-no-no," she wailed, slamming her fists to the floor, beating down with all her might. "Damn you, Thorin, damn you! You promised you'd look after them! YOU PROMISED!" She roared her anguish, sobbing with great heaving breaths.

I cried. It was so hard to write, even short as it was.
