Edited September 2015: I apologize for the long delay and I am shocked that people are still interested. I had start editing the chapters last year but unfortunately life caught up with me and then my computer ate my work. I can't promise regular updates, nor can I promise this will get finished; however, I can promise to try.
Ok so this is for whitetigerwolf's Egyptian Challenge - Harry Potter. It must have Harry being sent back in time from Godric's Hollow to Ancient Egypt. (He must be a child in Ancient Egypt) He must die. His tomb must be found and he must be resurrected. He must know magic from that time but cannot join Voldemort. No Yaoi.
There are some recommendations too.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything from Harry Potter or Yu Gi Oh. The idea was inspire from the requirements of the Challenge.
How It All Started
*December 24th 1997*
Hermione watched in panic as the giant snake wrapped itself around Harry. She could only think of three spells that could free him and two of them were extremely dangerous.
She pointed her wand at the snake and hoped her first spell would work. "Confringo!"
The spelled bounced of the snake and smashed the mirror nearby.
The next spell was a little more complicated, it was designed to move inanimate objects from one place to another instantaneously, without having to move it through the air, a bit like apparition but with inanimate objects.
The only problem was it can have strange effects on living beings and she didn't know if it would affect Harry since any tests had been tried on animals and beings. Hermione only knew of the spells through her research for SPEW since the last of the tests had been tried on House Elves before the Department of Magical Law Enforcement shut them down for illegal spell experimentation.
She took a deep breath and focused on Harry, picturing him leaving the coils of the snake and reappearing beside her. Once she was sure she had everything right she murmured the incantation and a sickly purple light filled the room.
A crash from downstairs caused Hermione to look away but when she looked back Harry and the snake had vanished.
Hermione rushed over to where they had been, the only thing that remained was the locket that had been around Harry's neck. It was red hot but seemingly unharmed. A few cooling charms later it was safe to pick up, revealing a lack of the dark magic it once possessed.
"What have I done?" She whispered to herself.
*Five Thousand Year Earlier*
In the courtyard in the Palace of the Pharaoh there was a bright flash of light and a small child wrapped in the coils of a giant snake.
The Pharaoh had just finished visiting his children when he saw the flash of light and went to investigate.
Seeing the child in danger, he cursed his insistence that the guards leave him and that he had left his sword in his chambers.
The only thing he had was his dagger which was wrapped in a special cloth since the blade had been dipped in a very potent venom.
Unwilling to let the child die, the Pharaoh unsheathed the dagger and began hacking at the snake which had immediately swung around to face the new threat.
As luck would have it the Pharaoh had just been about to stab the back of the snakes head when it swung around impaled itself on the approaching blade.
As the body of the snake fell to the ground the child, who had been searching for anything familiar, began to cry.
While the Pharaoh had been dealing the snake he had been looking around for something or someone familiar.
Within a week the wizards of the Pharaoh's Court had made no progress in determining how the child and snake had come to be there, nor where they had come from. One thing was clear however, the young Prince and Princess had become attached to the small child; so for the time being, he was going nowhere.
The second chapter of this story has been removed and will be replaced once it is rewritten, edited and checked for spelling and grammar. I understand my spelling and such needs some work so if you spot something wrong tell me and I will try and change it.
