Five Times Ginny Weasley Cried. Times that really mattered.
I.
Every time a brother went to Hogwarts.
Ginny simply hated being the youngest, it seemed as if she was always overlooked and her brothers felt they had to protect her just because she was a girl. They would never understand how she felt every time another brother slipped away to the magical world of Hogwarts, leaving her behind. Every time, the house got emptier and lonelier. Ron was the last one, and she thankfully managed to hold in the tears till they got on the train. When she was ten, she simply would have died if Harry Potter saw her crying.
II.
Summer before her first year.
Ever since she could remember she had been told stories about Harry Potter, and had idolized him, dreamed about him and wished she could marry him. The boy who lived truly did seem amazing. The summer before her first year, it seemed her fantasies had been answered and she was so happy. However, it didn't work out quite as she hoped, and Harry didn't fall in love with her. Instead, she made an utter idiot of herself. That night, she cried herself to sleep not realizing she might get a real chance to be with Harry when she grew up.
III.
Directly after the chamber.
Emotions filled Ginny's head – shame, anger, sorrow. How could she ever have been so stupid? Still, she felt utter shock coursing through her veins – she had nearly died and brought You Know Who back to life, nearly dooming the wizarding world. Yes, she really didn't know what she was thinking. As well, it just proved how weak she was – anyone else would have been able to fight off the diary, but of course little Ginny Weasley couldn't. bursting into sobs, she realised that she really would never have a chance with Harry Potter ever. Or so she thought.
IV.
When Harry came out of the maze.
Ginny stood there in the stands, once more in shock, she clutched Hermione's hand with all her strength. What on earth had just happened? Why was Cedric Diggory dead? This was sure to be a disaster, and she knew it. Glancing over at Hermione, she saw a single tear running down her friends face, and putting a hand on her own face she realised she too had succumbed to tears. She heard Harry gasp out the words 'He's back,' and her world went cold and black, she was haunted with a seemingly charming voice – I'll be your friend, Ginny…
V.
When she finally had Harry Potter.
It had finally happened, she had been dreaming about it since she was a little girl, she was with Harry Potter and he loved her back. Only this time, it was reality. It was every bit as good as she had fantasised. She was in love. Irrevocably and totally, they were totally and utterly perfect for each other. That night, she cried tears of joy…
