Chapter 1
I just sat there, laying on my bed. It had rained all day and Bo was in the barn munching on hay as usual. I could hear the distant thundering and the occasional crack of lightning. I sat up on my bed and decided to go out to the barn to see Bo. As I got closer to the barn, something didn't feel right. Bo always nickered when he heard me coming towards the barn. I slid the heavy door open and I saw Bo in his stall laying down with his head hung low. I knew something was wrong.i rushed over to him. I thought in my head, No no no this CAN'T be happening! I knew right away that he was colicking. I rushed back inside to tell my parents. We all ran back to the barn. He was going down hill. We called the vet and he rushed there as fast as he could. I couldn't handle it I had to go inside. I left everyone outside and I sat on the couch crying. About 20 minutes later, my mom came in and told me Bo was put down. I broke down crying, I begged and begged my parents for a horse and I finally got Bo… and now he's gone.
