I have been coming out with a lot (for me) of one-shots. I know it's short but hey, that's me. This one-shot takes place about a week after 47 seconds ends, so keep that in mind:)

"Castle, can we talk?" Beckett asked moving swiftly towards the break room.

"About what?" he questioned following her.

When they were safely inside with the doors closed, she turned to him and replied, "You've been distant the past week," she looked down. "And I may know why."

"Any why?" he asked as she still looked down.

"Because, you know I- I remember." She looked up to see him looking at her mad yet in a way upset. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything."

"What I want to know is why didn't you tell me at the hospital?" he asked walking closer to her.

"I- I don't know," she said looking down at her floor pattern again feeling ashamed.

"Do you know how that makes me feel? All this time you knew. That makes me feel like an idiot; a-a fool." Kate snapped her head up.

"I'm sorry. I didn't intend for you to feel like that. I just didn't know what to make of it at the time."

"I loved you, Kate. I still do, but- but I." He shrugged and let out a shaky breath.

Kate looked down and whispered, "I love you too." She slowly looked back up to find him looking at her like he just seen a ghost.

"You do?" he whispered. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know what I wanted. I was afraid, and given your background..." she said referring to Rick's playboy image. "I didn't know if I would make the right decision or not."

He was close enough to grab her forearms and say, "I've changed. I've changed! Four years ago, yes I had that image and I went on dates with different women just about every week, but I slowly fell for an amazing woman who was standing right in front of me, and couldn't get her out of my head and heart." Kate swallowed as she felt her eyes watering. "And after I found out you remember, I tried to drown what I felt because I thought you didn't care, or didn't feel what I feel. I thought we could be something eventually."

"But I do care, I do feel what you feel, and I do want to be something. I may not have shown it because I don't really know how to."

"That's why I was trying to help you take that wall inside and break it down."

She nodded her head in agreement. "Well, you must have been doing something right. I slowly let this feeling come in and take over." Castle smiled but then dropped it. "So where do we go from here?"

Rick took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I think I need some time to think. You know, to let everything soak in."

Kate nodded slowly, not wanting what she just heard to be the answer. But she had to go along. "Yeah… Me too."

They stood there in the break room for a few long seconds, the Castle went around her and opened the door and walked out silently leaving Kate to stand there feeling empty, like she just lost something.

"Beckett?" She turned to find Ryan peeking in. "We got a lead."

Hey! I hope you liked it, and I hope it wasn't too cheesy. I know a lot of other people put stories up about 47 Seconds, but I kinda hope this may be a little different.
