Train of thoughts
Finn was pretty sure his heart stopped when he saw Jesse St. Jackass kissing Rachel. His Rachel, the same one that had composed a song for him. The same one that laid a picnic for him. The same one that he didn't forgive
Part of him wanted to shout out, scream that he was right there, watching Jesse pushing Rachel up a wall, threading his fingers through her strawberry-scented shampoo, tounges intwined. He doesn't though. It's watching something gruesome but you can't keep your eyes of it. He knows that if he watches any more, his heart will break. His hand crushed the pink petals and let it falls on the ground. Silently, he walks out, hot tears falling.
Somehow, he drives home, Kurt was the first one to see him and he coaxes him to drink a glass of warm milk. His brother offers him a sugar cookie. Wrong move. Finn breaks into tears, remembering Rachels 'I'm sorry' cookies, wishing he wouldve forgiven her earlier. Perhaps, just maybe, Rachel would've seen it in her heart to take him back. Kurt coos soft, sweet, meaningless lullabys but everything reminds him of Rachel, the time when Quinn got pregnant with Puck and she just sat with him, stroking his hair and giving him a shoulder to cry on. Uh-oh.
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on He didn't know why he started to sing with her, it was just irresistible, a drug, sort of. That made sense, when Finn first kissed Rachel, he wanted more. When they broke up, he was sick. It was only different in one way, Rachel was good for him. He officially hates Wham. Oh, and AAR. Damn.
He just loved the All American Rejects, who wouldn't? Their drummer spits on stage, they perform even when they were drunk and they were still freaking fantastic. He loved all the songs, especially Gives Y-. Crap. It got worse. When they broke up, they settled for being friends, Finn started dating Quinn and Rachel started listening to things like AAR. One of her dads greeted him (thankfully Hiram, he was pretty sure Leroy hated him) and told him that Rachel was upstairs. And here's all your lies, you can look me in the eyes with the sad, sad look you wear so well She sounded great but then the Deja Vu started to sink in. Gives you hell. Hell. Hello. Hello, Goodbye.
He realizes the lies she told when she was dating Jesse in private One for the team he snorts at the thought, causing his step-brother to frown. Somebody's phone starts to ring, considering that only Rachel used to call. "Okay, Blaine, seeya!" Kurt beams before saying good bye to Finn. Finn feels like his heart breaks even more, if thats possible. He takes a deep breath and refrains from crying. One day, Finchel will be back. Just not right now.
My first fanfic so please don't be too harsh! Constructive critiscism is great though
