Between Time
Prologue...
I just couldn't go back. Going back meant humiliation. Going back meant rejection and loss. So I just turned around and walked away from my defeat.
This was how I got myself lost in the woods. I thought eventually I would find someone.
But as my supply of marshmallows ran low, I wandered in the forest for days, dehydrated, panicking, and thinking that I would meet a cruel and unusual fate......

That was how I wound up sitting on the side of the road, staring bleakly out into space.
From somewhere down the road, voices drifted over to me.
"Hey, are you okay?" Yelled a voice from down the road. It was slightly scratchy, and it was too high-pitched. It kind of annoyed me.
I stumbled up to my feet. "I'm fine! I was just..resting! I guess I'll be on my way now!"
I turned abruptly and sauntered down the road, trying to look cool and collected, but nearly accomplished running into three people on the road.
"Woah!" I yelled as my Pichu struggled to stay on my shoulder.
When I rightened myself, I saw myself looking into the face of a really cute guy. I usually don't notice guys, but this one stuck out at me for some strange reason.
He was about my height, which is short, and had spiky black hair and chocolate brown eyes. He also had a Pikachu on his shoulders.
"You okay?" he asked me. His voice matched the on I'd heard a few seconds earlier-high-pitched and scratchy.
"I'm fine!" I chirped, trying not to blush, and Pichu agreed with me.
"Beautiful girl, what is your name?"
"Wha?" I turned and saw a spiky-haired boy in my face, blushing.
"I am Brock. If you would be so kind as to tell me your name, oh dear sweet maiden, and where you come from?"
"Err.."
"You need a reality check," muttered the girl with them as she pulled him away by the ear.
When she turned back to me, she said, "Are you lost?"
"Yeah, kinda.." I admitted sheepishly.
"Ash would have good experience with that. Right, Ash?"
"Shut up, Misty! I get so sick of you! I really do!"
My blood froze at their words.
For somewhere in my head, my brain had just made a shocking connection. Mom had red hair, and a Togepi. Dad had a Pikachu.
Also, Mom and Dad fought around the clock. And Brock was girl-crazy.
"Who are you people?" I interrupted. "Are you some sort of actors who impersonate famous trainers or something?"
All three of them stared at me like I was from Mars, shaking their heads.
"I'm Ash Ketchum. I'm a trainer from Pallet! And it's great to know that you think I'm famous," he said, grinning cockily. "Give it a rest, Ash," muttered the girl again. Muttered iMisty/i.
For from that moment on, I knew the girl in front of me was named Misty. I felt like I was watching the whole scene from behind a glass cage. My head was spinning, and I felt my knees go weak. iThis is too bizarre,/i said a voice in my head, i it's too much of a coincidence.../i.
"I..know you.." I whispered. Then the ground loomed up at me and I saw nothing but blackness.

Well, tell me how you liked it! Constructive criticism is welcome. I've had Isyouna around for quite awhile, but this the first time she's made an appearance of fanfiction.net!
If I get enough reviews, I will definitely continue! Hope you liked it!
