If I'd ran
Glancing at the many people surrounding the crystal pond, I see a familair figure. But this time, I know that it's real.
I see them standing in that hall, the hall that lead to Heaven. I watch calmy, if I had ran...the moment wouldnt have lasted as long.
She stands, as she walks you can see her gracefullness. Her hair swiftly swishing in the gateway's breeze, and her velvet tie bobbing with each step.
The bright light, from their path to home, shines through, defying their angelic forms. As she reaches the door, she shifts her head, her smile just as it was anytime before.
The light flashes through her hair, and I can see that glint in her eyes. She looks at me and whispers.
"You see...everthing's," She turns as she finishes her goodbye, "alright."
She continues walking into her light. And as she begins to fade, he simply waves, and turns to join her in their peacful...slumber.
So if I would have run to them, the moment...wouldnt have lasted as long.
"I know. Im not alone." I say to myself. As I smile, "Not anymore." ,satisfied.
I could've run, I could've said something. But, I stayed, so Im the only one who knows.
That moment, that simple moment, was priceless.
